Insurance & Payment

Most PPO plans help cover treatment.

We work with most major PPO insurance plans through their out-of-network benefits, and we offer clear private-pay options. Our team handles verification and authorization so you can focus on getting well.

Plans we commonly work with

  • Aetna
  • Anthem Blue Cross
  • Blue Shield of California
  • Cigna
  • UnitedHealthcare / Optum
  • Health Net
  • MHN
  • Most other PPO plans

Private pay

If you do not have insurance, have an HMO plan without out-of-network benefits, or prefer not to use insurance, we offer transparent private-pay rates for every level of care. Ask our admissions team for details.

We are currently unable to accept Medi-Cal or Medicare. Insurance verification is free and confidential and does not guarantee coverage; benefits vary by plan and are subject to medical necessity review.

Verify Your Insurance

Confidential and free. We will call you back, usually within the hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We collect your member details securely by phone, never through this form.

Thank you. We've received your request.

An admissions specialist will reach out shortly. If you would rather talk now, call (818) 823-7757.

Preparing for Virtual Care

What you'll need

Virtual treatment asks very little of you technically. Our team walks every client through setup before the first session.

  • A device with a camera: laptop, desktop, tablet or smartphone
  • A reliable internet connection (video calls typically need 3 Mbps or more)
  • A private space where you can speak openly for the length of your session
  • Headphones are recommended for privacy and audio quality
  • To be located in a U.S. state where we are licensed during each session, as required by state licensing law

We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform. No account creation or software download is required for most devices; you simply click a secure link.

Your privacy is protected

Your information is protected under HIPAA and, for substance use treatment records, the additional federal protections of 42 CFR Part 2. We do not share information with employers, family members or anyone else without your written consent, except as required by law.

FAQs

Admissions questions, answered

Most clients complete insurance verification the same day they call, have a clinical assessment within 24 hours, and attend their first group within 48 hours. If you are stepping down from a residential or detox program, we coordinate so there is no gap in care.
A licensed clinician meets with you over secure video for roughly 60 to 90 minutes. You will talk about your history, current symptoms, substance use, medical and psychiatric background, safety, and what you hope to get out of treatment. Using this information and ASAM criteria, the clinician recommends a level of care and, together, you decide how to proceed.
Research on telehealth-delivered behavioral health care has consistently shown outcomes comparable to in-person treatment for many conditions, and engagement is often higher because barriers such as commuting and childcare are removed. Our program was built specifically for the virtual setting, with smaller groups, a consistent primary therapist and structured family involvement, rather than simply streaming an in-person curriculum.
No. Many people reach out because something is clearly wrong but they are not sure what. Our assessment is designed to help you understand what is going on and what level of support would help.
Yes, with your consent. Our Family Program includes weekly family sessions during PHP and IOP, a multi-family group, and education for loved ones. Because it is virtual, family members can participate from anywhere, including out of state.
Yes. Our psychiatric providers conduct evaluations, manage psychiatric medications, and coordinate Medication-Assisted Treatment such as naltrexone and buprenorphine when clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy.
Pacific Horizon does not provide medical detoxification. If withdrawal management is needed, our admissions team will help coordinate a detox placement and plan your transition into our Virtual PHP or IOP as soon as you are medically ready.
Yes. Your records are protected under HIPAA and, for substance use treatment, the additional protections of federal law (42 CFR Part 2). We do not communicate with employers, family or outside providers without your written consent, except where required by law.
Costs depend on your insurance benefits and level of care. Our admissions team will verify your benefits and explain estimated out-of-pocket costs before you begin. Transparent private-pay rates are available for every level of care. Verification is free and does not obligate you to enroll.
Take the First Step

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Our admissions help line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. One confidential call is all it takes to learn your options, verify your benefits, and schedule a clinical assessment, often within 24 hours.
