Welcome to Pacific Horizon

Whole-person treatment for addiction and mental health, without pausing your life.

Most people who struggle with substance use also struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, or another mental health condition. Most programs treat one and refer out the other. We treat both, together, as one coordinated team.

Pacific Horizon delivers a full outpatient continuum of care, from Partial Hospitalization to Intensive Outpatient to step-down Outpatient therapy, entirely through secure video. You attend group and individual sessions from home, keep your job, stay present for your family, and still receive the same structure, clinical hours, and psychiatric oversight you would find in a traditional treatment center.

  • Integrated dual-diagnosis care. Psychiatry, addiction medicine coordination, and therapy work as one team, not parallel tracks.
  • A real continuum. Step down from PHP to IOP to Outpatient to Alumni without ever changing providers.
  • Designed for engagement. Small groups, a consistent primary therapist, and family programming built for the virtual setting.
  • Measurement-based care. We track your progress with validated tools so you can see the change, not just feel it.
Levels of Care

One continuum. Three levels. The right intensity for where you are today.

Every client begins with a clinical assessment that determines the appropriate level of care. As you progress, you step down through the same team, so nothing about your care is lost in the transition.

Who We Serve

Care built for adults who cannot put their lives on hold.

We work with adults 18 and older located anywhere in the United States. Our clients come from every background, but most share one thing: they need real treatment that fits around real responsibilities.

Working Professionals

Evening IOP tracks and discreet, fully virtual care let you get help without a leave of absence or an explanation to your employer.

Parents & Caregivers

Attend programming between school drop-off and pick-up, or after bedtime, with no commute and no time away from the people who depend on you.

Stepping Down from Residential, Detox or Hospital Care

Our Virtual PHP provides a structured landing after inpatient treatment, reducing the risk of relapse in the vulnerable weeks after discharge.

Young Adults & Students

Adults 18 and older navigating college, early careers, and the pressures that so often accompany them, with schedules that flex around classes.

Public-Facing & Entertainment Careers

Privacy is built into our model. Small groups, confidential intake, and care from your own home protect both your recovery and your reputation.

Families & Loved Ones

Addiction and mental illness affect the whole family. Our family program gives loved ones education, support, and a seat at the table.

What We Treat

Substance use. Mental health. And the space where they overlap.

You can be admitted under a primary substance use diagnosis or a primary mental health diagnosis. Either way, our team treats the whole picture.

Substance Use Disorders

  • Alcohol
  • Opioids & Fentanyl
  • Prescription Painkillers
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Cocaine & Stimulants
  • Methamphetamine
  • Cannabis
  • Prescription Stimulants
  • Polysubstance Use

Mental Health Conditions

  • Depression
  • Anxiety & Panic
  • Trauma & PTSD
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • OCD
  • Emotional Dysregulation
  • Grief & Life Transitions
  • Burnout & Chronic Stress
  • ADHD (with co-occurring conditions)

Co-Occurring (Dual-Diagnosis) Disorders

When substance use and a mental health condition exist together, treating one without the other rarely lasts. Our integrated model addresses both at the same time, with one team, one treatment plan, and one point of accountability.

Why Pacific Horizon

Not a treatment center streamed over video. A program designed for virtual care.

Fully virtual treatment only works when the program is built for it. Ours is, from the size of our groups to the way we measure outcomes.

Integrated Dual Diagnosis

Psychiatry, addiction medicine coordination, and therapy operate as one coordinated team for every client with co-occurring conditions.

Small Groups, Real Connection

Groups are capped at 8 to 12 clients so every voice is heard, and your primary therapist stays with you from intake to discharge.

Measurement-Based Care

Validated tools such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7 and BAM are administered on a fixed schedule so you and your team can see progress objectively.

Day & Evening Tracks

Morning programming for those who can step away, and evening IOP groups for those who cannot. Treatment fits your calendar, not the other way around.

Safety & Accountability

Coordinated drug screening through local labs, structured safety planning, and clear crisis protocols address the trust gap in remote care.

Family Programming

Weekly family sessions and multi-family groups bring loved ones into the process, because recovery is stronger with support around it.

Our Clinical Approach

Evidence-based therapies, delivered by people who care.

Every modality we use has a track record in the research and in real recovery. Your treatment plan blends the approaches that fit you best.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Identify the thoughts and patterns that drive substance use, anxiety and depression, and learn practical ways to change them.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Build skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness that hold up under pressure.

Trauma-Informed Care & EMDR

Trauma sits beneath many addictions and mood disorders. Trained clinicians address it safely, including EMDR when clinically appropriate.

Motivational Interviewing

Meet ambivalence with curiosity rather than confrontation, and strengthen your own reasons for change at every stage of recovery.

Psychiatry & MAT Coordination

Psychiatric medication management and coordination of medications such as naltrexone and buprenorphine through licensed prescribers.

Family Systems & Relapse Prevention

Structured relapse-prevention curriculum, family sessions, and multi-family groups that repair relationships and build lasting support.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

You attend live group and individual sessions over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform from your home or any private space. Programming follows the same clinical hours and structure as in-person PHP and IOP. You will need a computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera, a reliable internet connection, and a private place to participate.
We serve adults 18 and older who are located in the United States during sessions and who are medically stable enough for outpatient care. If you need medical detox or a residential level of care first, we will help coordinate that and welcome you into our program when you are ready to step down.
We work with most major PPO plans through out-of-network benefits and offer private-pay options. We do not currently accept Medi-Cal or Medicare. Our admissions team verifies your benefits, usually the same day, and explains your options before you commit to anything. Verify your insurance here.
Yes. Our Virtual IOP offers evening tracks specifically for working professionals and parents, and Virtual Outpatient requires only one to two sessions a week. Virtual PHP is a full-day commitment, but many clients use short-term leave or FMLA protection for the three to four weeks it typically lasts.
We coordinate urine drug screening through convenient local laboratories, build an individualized safety plan with every client at intake, and maintain clear crisis protocols. Your clinical team monitors your progress closely, and our psychiatric providers are involved when medication or medical concerns arise.
Most clients are with us for 90 to 150 days across descending levels of care, for example three to four weeks in PHP, six to eight weeks in IOP, and eight or more weeks in Outpatient. Length of stay is always individualized and reviewed with you regularly.
